ABOUT

On Broadway Performing Arts Training Program is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit arts organization, established in 2015. Broadway's Rema Webb founded On Broadway PATP with a dream to create a place where any young person could come and have a one-of-a-kind musical theater education.​ We encourage our students to be dreamers and reach for the stars.​ On Broadway’s mission is to engage, empower, excite and educate young people in the performing arts. Our goal is not only to teach students the principles of Acting, Voice and Dance, but also to offer invaluable mentorship. Mentoring through performing arts education is vital to the mission statement of On Broadway: Performing Arts Training Program. Our instructors are top professionals in the performing arts industry who guide our students with skill, energy, patience and a sense of humor.​​

 

On Broadway offers year round programming to students ages 10-17 in the arts of Acting, Voice, Dance and Performance.

CLASSES

 Workshop Series 

Every month, we offer a variety of workshops taught by Rema Webb and/or her friends from current and past Broadway shows. Previous instructors include: Jerry Mitchell, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Sutton Foster, Billy Porter, Danielle Brooks, Norm Lewis, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Jalani Alladin and Ashley Park to name a few. 

 Summer Program 

A musical theater summer intensive that includes: ​

  • Training in the fundamentals of Acting, Voice and Dance

  • Workshops taught by Broadway and Film stars

  • Rehearsal, Tech and Performance of a full scale musical with professional sets, costumes, sound and lighting

REMA WEBB

 Founder & Executive Director 

Rema is a 27-year Broadway veteran and her mission is to pass on her knowledge, create a better learning environment and inspire the next generation of young artists. She was most recently seen in Chicago as Matron "Mama" Morton. Broadway Credits Include Hell's Kitchen, Fat Ham, The Music Man, Escape to Margaritaville, The Color Purple, Violet, The Book of Mormon, The Lion King and Ragtime. Off-Broadway & Regional Credits: Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill, Disney’s Hercules, Unmasked, Footloose, Little Shop of Horrors, The Cradle Will Rock, The Colored Museum, A New Brain, You’re Standing In My Way: A New Song Cycle, Being Alive. TV Credits: Central Park, Fosse/Verdon, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Murphy Brown, The Sound of Music Live! Rema feels honored that God and the universe allows her to have On Broadway and that families choose us to train and mentor their children and offer them a safe haven.

JESSICA KATE MOONEY

 Artistic Director 

Jessica began her career as a Stage Manager and found her passion for producing through her work with On Broadway. She came on board full time in 2019 to lead our growing organization alongside Rema. Jessica has a background in technical theater, media and leadership. A theater kid at heart, Jessica is immensely grateful to be able to create programming that allows our students to thrive. She has two wonderful children of her own, the lights of her life, who get to see their Mama do work that she loves every day.
